Dear Neighbor,

Please join me and special guest Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel at our upcoming Federal Actions Town Hall, where we will discuss the impacts of federal policies on both the local and statewide levels, as well as Attorney General Nessel’s successful and ongoing interventions. The discussion will be followed by an audience Q&A.

Attorney General Nessel has sued the federal Administration over 50 times and won over 40 lawsuits to protect the rights, services and federal funding that Michigan residents depend on. Through this litigation, her office has recouped more than $3.4 billion in Michigan taxpayer money. These lawsuits span a wide range of critical issues and have protected Michigan residents from the dismantlement of public services, the erosion of privacy, and violations of constitutional rights. They have preserved funding for disaster mitigation, libraries, education, mental health resources for students, medical research funding, services for crime victims and more. The lawsuits have also blocked illegal terms and conditions on funding Michiganders rely on, including transportation, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and housing assistance.
