The public is invited to the GT Dems' Progessive Potluck on Tuesday, April 9, from 7 to 8:30 pm at The Little Fleet, 448 E. Front Street in Traverse City. This dinner potluck will feature a presentation Justice And Peace Advocacy Center about their work to support migrant workers in our community.

Participants are encouraged to bring a dish to pass, and The Little Fleet will have drinks available for purchase.

About Progressive Potlucks:  In 2017, the Grand Traverse Democratic Party launched a new series to foster connections between local Dems and other progressive groups.  Progressive Potlucks provide a place for concerned citizens to gather around good food, in community, to learn, organize and take action. These potlucks are intended to channel our energy and support for the organizations fighting for what we believe in. Each month features a different progressive organization that is working on the front lines of issues that impact our community. They share information about how to get involved to support their work, whether it's a financial donation, a letter or phone call, or volunteering for a few hours.

The Little Fleet is graciously donating 10% of all drink sales to the guest organization each month. At each potluck, the Dems will accept voluntary donations on behalf of the month's featured organization. Donations will also be accepted to support GT Dems' activities such as bringing citizen action workshops and candidate trainings to the region and supporting activities that help get progressive candidates elected.

This event is open to the public.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a friend and a dish to pass.

Donations are NOT required to attend.
