Our power as Indivisibles is in working together to create change; by turning out in large numbers around the community we’re not only sending a strong message, but we also are inviting our neighbors to join us in the protest against the illegal and anti-democratic actions of the Trump administration.
On Saturday, April 19, from noon to 1 pm, we’re holding pop-up demonstrations around the area. It’s simple and powerful—these demonstrations will show that we can respond loudly and rapidly with peaceful protests.
Here are some hot tips for organizing your friends:-- Every voice counts! No group is too small, but make sure to always bring a buddy.-- Be safe. Stay back from busy roads, don’t block driveways, and above all else ALWAYS remain peaceful.-- Bring a sign. Make sure people know why you're out there. This is your chance to let your voice be heard, so speak from your heart!-- Unless you're filming content to amplify your voices, keep your phone stashed.
Here are your choices:
East Front Street/Munson Avenue between Garfield and Fair
Post Office/Rotary Square - Plenty of parking. Good Visibility. Great soap box for public speaking!
Social Security Office on South Division - Stand on the sidewalk on Division. Parking is limited so make sure to respect local businesses. Get spot for Hands Off Social Security and other government programs
Choose a high visibility location near you. Bring your friends! No action is too small.
Remember, this is about building community support, peaceful resistance, and making sure your voice is heard!
We’ve created three Mobilize events for Saturday. They’re easy to share, you can chat with others that are going—they make organizing actions easy!
